Hyundai has revealed the next-generation version of its popular i30 hatchback, which will go on sale in the UK in early 2017.
The updated car is instantly distinguishable from its predecessor thanks to some bold new exterior styling that includes a redesigned hexagonal grille, new angular headlights and pronounced creases running down the bodywork on the car’s sides.

Customers will be able to specify their i30 with either 17-inch or 16-inch alloy wheels, or smaller 15-inch steel and alloy wheels.
A selection of small turbocharged petrol and diesel engines will power the i30, including a new 1.4-litre, four-cylinder T-GDI unit that produces 138bhp. Buyers can choose from a six-speed manual gearbox, or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The new i30 will also form the basis of a new high performance hot hatch that will be released under Hyundai’s N brand. The company claims this car will go into production in 2017.
